Hot Air Drying + Pyrolysis
Sep 04,2023
Development Background:
Since the steam drying + pyrolysis process route is long and requires the purchase of additional three-waste incinerators and waste heat boilers, the investment cost is too high. Therefore, a new hot air drying + pyrolysis process route was developed to simplify the process.
The hot air drying + pyrolysis process route is short and has low investment cost. The pyrolysis gas can be recycled and the operating cost is reduced.
Process Route Description:
System support conditions: High-temperature flue gases emitted from cement plants, coal-fired thermal power plants, waste incineration power plants, etc. can be used as free hot air resources for secondary use, with very low operating costs.
If the owner does not have high-temperature flue gas as a hot air resource, a hot air stove needs to be equipped at the front end of the large three-channel drum dryer. The hot air stove uses natural gas to generate hot air.
The wet materials first enter the hot air drying section, that is, the large three-channel drum dryer for drying. The dry materials after hot air drying are then transported to the pyrolysis furnace in the pyrolysis carbonization section for pyrolysis.
The solid material is cracked in an anaerobic environment to generate gas phase (pyrolysis gas) and solid phase (biochar). Pyrolysis gas is a combustible gas. Part of it returns to the combustion chamber of the pyrolysis furnace to replace the natural gas fuel in the pyrolysis carbonization section, and the other part returns to the hot blast furnace to replace the natural gas fuel in the hot air drying section.
If the proportion of organic matter in the material is high and the calorific value is high, the pyrolysis gas produced by the pyrolysis furnace can completely replace natural gas and support the operation of the entire system, thus significantly reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.
